From the Fruits and Vegetables
Time is here to get our gardens planted. We have a vast variety of vegetables; 47 varieties of tomatoes (including 20 heirloom varieties), 36 varieties of peppers (Sweet Bell, Sweet non-Bell, and Hot), cucumbers, squash, melons, pumpkins, etc., and herb plants (rosemary, mints, thyme, oregano, etc). Small fruits include raspberry, blueberry, black berry, Currant (red & black), strawberry, and rhubarb. Fruit trees include apple, apricot, cherry, peach, pear, and plum.
New Grass Additions
Country Greenery us proud to introduce three new kinds of grasses for 2011; Cyperus-King Kut, Pennisetum-Sky Rocket, and Deschampsia-Northern Lights.
Cyperus-King Kut (annual) is an upright grass that makes an exotic impact in the garden. It will reach 48-72 inches
Pennisetum-Sky Rocket (annual) is bright green and pristine white variegated foliage fires fusillades of pink projectile plumes. This grass is a sport of the highly popular Fireworks
Pennisetum-Fireworks (annual) is not new this year, but still remains the most popular grass with its upright arching, refreshing new look of variegated purple fountain grass, the foliage had mid-veins of burgendy with hot pink margins.
Deschampsia-Northern Lights (Tufted Hair Grass) is a perennial for zones 4-10 and will reach a height of 8-14" tall. This grass is arching, delightful, and truly unique. Northern Lights is a non-flowering ornamental grass with cream and pink variegation. During colder months, gold-deep bronze hues work their magic. Pair with other shade lovers. Norther Lights perform best in moist soil.
From the Annual House
New this year in the Geranium house are Caliente Geraniums. They are an Ivy-Zonal Cross with huge single flowers, and the best heat tolerance of any geranium on the market. They provide continuous color under the most extreme conditions. Naturally mounding habit. There is only a limited supple of this new geranium.
Phygeluis-Red Alert: this phygeluis will stop you in your tracks! Long stems are covered in dainty red flowers with yellow throats and bloom from Spring to frost. Red Alert will reach 12-18 inches tall.
Petunias - black petunias called Black Velvet, Phantom (black and yellow veined) and Penstripe (black and purple veined). Limited Supply!

This year’s “Open House” will be Friday and Saturday May 6th and 7th from 9a.m. to 7p.m. Please come and enjoy complimentary refreshments as you choose your favorite plants, flowers, and vegetables. You will receive 10% off your total purchase. This does not apply to any custom orders.
To celebrate 'Open House 2011' we are going to reward our customers for their continuing support. How are we doing this? We are going to have lawn gnomes scattered through out the greenhouses and courtyard. Each gnome will be worth a specific dollar amount that will be subtracted from your total purchase order. In order to receive the discount you must find the gnome and bring it to the cash register.
